The primary qualifications for getting a job as a quality improvement specialist are a master’s degree in hospital management ,do a CPHQ ,CHQO certification and get strong experience in a JCI accredited hospital as an apprentice and a relevant field and some familiarity with your industry. Many quality improvement specialists work in the medical industry, but it is possible to get this job in other areas as well. Quality improvement specialists focus on improving products or services and should not be confused with jobs that focus on efficiency instead of quality.
