AGM - OPD Billing
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) - OPD Billing will be responsible for the efficient and accurate management of all Outpatient Department (OPD) billing operations. This role involves overseeing the entire billing cycle for OPD services, from patient registration and insurance verification to claim submission, payment collection, and reconciliation. The AGM - OPD Billing will lead a team, ensure compliance with billing regulations and hospital policies, and strive for continuous improvement in billing processes to enhance patient satisfaction and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities (Brief):
Billing Operations Oversight: Manage the daily operations of the OPD billing department, ensuring accurate and timely generation of bills for all outpatient services.
Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor the OPD billing team, fostering a high-performance and patient-centric approach.
Compliance & Audit: Ensure strict adherence to national and local billing regulations, insurance guidelines, and hospital policies (e.g., NABH standards). Prepare for and participate in internal and external billing audits.
Insurance & TPA Coordination: Oversee the verification of insurance eligibility and coordination with Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) for cashless and reimbursement claims.
Patient Communication: Ensure clear and empathetic communication with patients regarding billing, charges, and insurance queries.
Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and improve turnaround times in billing.
Reporting & Analysis: Generate regular reports on billing performance, outstanding dues, and collection rates, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
